i’d be lying if i said that i didn’t vehemently seek approval from those around me and in my circle of influence. it’s not something that i’m proud of but it’s always there nonetheless. i don’t want it to be there, i want to not care but i believe it will be a gradual change. i am a weak person with many flaws but i have a right mind to remedy things. lord humble me
i remember looking into your eyes when you told me something terrible. it’s not always about who you are or how mechanical your methods can be but sometimes, i just wanna know, what are you thinking? streams of light can infuse brilliance in a darkened heart but where are these streams originating? didn’t you see the sign on the door? please stop bothering me. thoughts will float and flutter just above the realm of my fruition and just out of reach of my seemingly pointless efforts to translate them into something tangible. i wanna take my thoughts and mold them, break them down and build them up with my hands and show them to you. give you an idea of what goes in and what wheels are turning because my speech is so underwhelming. that chair in the corner hasn’t been moved since you lost contact with your family. break out of comfort zones and do something that you thought you would never have the nerve for. there’s a trail through the woods that we can take if you’re interested. diplomacy means nothing here. we drop pens and pads behind our heels so we will know how to get out of this. there’s a thicket around my heart but it’s not invincible and i will cut it down for you. ‘beautiful’ is a word and honestly, a beautiful one at that but it is just a word. not a person, not a shape, not a place.
